Great Tips For Fighting Against Hair Loss

There are a variety of causes to hair loss. If you suffer from moderate to severe hair loss, you will find this article extremely helpful. It will provide you with a number of tips and some advice that will help you. Hair loss is a common condition that can be dealt with if you know what to do. A scalp massage can be a great, natural, way to combat hair loss. You dont need a professional to do it either! Use a bit of argan or coconut oil on your finger tips and rub your head in circular motions before you shampoo while in the shower each night.
Fluctuating hormonal levels have also been linked to hair loss. Whether they are fluctuating due to a birth control pill, your time of the month, or menopause, changing hormonal levels have been shown to play a role in hair loss. If this is the case, its important to not freak out because this hair loss is typically temporary.
If you are struggling with hair loss, it is a good idea to steer clear of tight hairstyles. The tight hairstyles include buns, ponytails, and braids. If you keep your hair in a tight style, you will experience more hair loss. Try to keep your hair as loose as possible if it must be pulled up.
Consider having a hair transplant to correct your hair loss. This procedure is performed by a specialist, usually on men who are older than 35. Hair follicles from the back of the head are surgically removed and implanted in the bald areas. Although it is costly, hair transplants provide a permanent natural looking solution to this vexing problem.
To encourage hair growth try this treatment. Apply olive oil to your scalp before bedtime. Wrap a soft towel around your head or wear a cotton hair cap for the night. Get a some sleep and wash the olive oil off the next morning. This will gently exfoliate your skin and get rid of accumulated oils, kill germs and stimulate new hair growth.
Avoid obsessing about your hair loss. It is natural to experience hair loss as you age, though some experience this loss earlier than others. When you constantly obsess about it, you create stress and anxiety which can compound the issue. Shampoo, condition and brush your hair normally to keep your hair healthy, but get away from the mirror and keep your hands out of your hair.
Drink at least eight glasses of water as the day wears on if you desire to improve the texture of your hair. Water helps to reduce the free radicals internally, so that you can have a strong head of hair for many years. Consume water as your primary liquid during the day.
You have to be willing to take the steps needed to deal with hair loss in a healthy and productive way. The advise and tips provided in this article are a great start to doing just that. Most importantly, be confident and know that most hair loss is nothing more than a cosmetic issue.

HAIR LOSS FOR CAUSE DUE TO STRESS

Yes, stress and hair loss can be related.

Out of three types of hair loss that can be associated with high stress levels are

Alopecia Arata
Telogen effluvium
Trichotillomania

Alopecia Arata means bald patches or  hair loss in areas. The word alopecia  arata refers to any type of hair loss, thinning hair or baldness in any hairy region of the body.   The most current medical studies have concluded that alopecia Areata are caused by an abnormality in the immune system. Baldness tends to be a more specific term among lay people as it usually refers to hair loss on the scalp – however, it can mean hair loss in any part of the body. Hair is made of a type of protein called keratin  In the majority of cases hair loss is a normal process of aging and not a disease.  Because it is not seen as life threatening to doctors it is often disregarded. Treatment is not necessary if you are comfortable with your appearance.  Thankfully for most men, modern medicine provides new treatments that help delay hair loss.  Remember that most of the hair loss treatments available on the market these days are most successfully applied by those who haven’t waited too long to do the right thing for their condition. This is unfortunate because hair loss can cause serious distress in some people, with some far reaching psychological effects.  In some cases hair loss may be a consequence of some medical treatment especially cancer treatment drugs – when the hair loss is generally temporary.

These are three types of Alopecia Areata which are named according to their severity.

-         Alopecia areata is mild patchy hair loss on the scalp
-         Alopecia Totalis is the loss of all scalp hair
-         Alopecia Universalis is the loss of scalp and all body hair.

The type of Alopecia areata before treatment, duration of the disease and the present of nail changes were found to predict a lower response to treatment.   Controversy exists concerning whether atopy is an adverse prognosis fact. In that moment the Alopecia sufferer was not expecting another path to happen and all because of the consequence of insensitive people this led into a state of depression for the Alopecia sufferer.  Some people may choose not to run and hide or become paranoid but more often than not sad emotions are likely to take over no matter how strong you are.
A single hair consists of a hair shaft, a root below the skin and a follicle from which the hair root grows.  At the lower end of the follicle is the hair bulb, where the hairs color pigment or melanin is produced.  Hair loss occurs mostly on the scalp.  But it can involve eyebrows, eyelashes, beards - any hair bearing site.  Patches very in size.

Todays modern civilization has introduced various environmental problems that can inflict hair weakness and distress.  Factors that affect the health of your hair include air pollution and artificial lighting dry air and harmful UV rays.  Lifestyle factors that can damage your hair and promote hair loss include inappropriate dietary supplements, harsh health care product brought over the counter, poor diet, medications and daily stress levels.  Chemicals, such as dyes, bleaches, strengtheners and permanents can damage the hair if used too often or left on too long.  Even shampooing, brushing and combing can harm the hair if done too roughly.  Hairstyles that pull the hair, such as tight ponytails and braids also put a lot of stress on it.  Mistreating the hair in any of these ways can lead to temporary hair loss.

Alopecia Areata is a variety of factors are thought to cause alopecia areata, possibly including severe stress.  With Alopecia Areata white blood cells attack the hair follicle, stopping hair growth and making hair fall out.

The scalp hair grows about half an inch per month, although this growth rate slows as people age.  The growth stage lasts for 2 to 6 years.  It is followed by a resting stage, lasting for 3 to 3 months during which the hair still is attached but no longer grows.  After the resting stage, the hair falls out and a new hair starts to form in the same spot.

Whether believe it or not most women have excess calcium in their tissues at least in relation to magnesium.  Eating too much sugar is one the major reasons for this calcium imbalance.

Female hair loss may also occur due to dieting.  Franchised diet programs which are designed or administered under the direction of physician with prescribed meals, dietary supplements and vitamin ingesting have become popular.  Sometimes the client is told that vitamins are a necessary part of the program to prevent hair loss associated with dieting.

Both men and women produce male hormones.  The tree most common are testosterone, androsteinedione, and dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Hair follicles, as well as the sebaceous glands, contain  high levels of an enzyme called 5 alpha reductase.  The enzyme converts testosterone into DHT, via the blood.  DHT is the source of most male pattern balding.
The most common type of hair loss seen in women is Androgenetic alopecia, also known as female pattern alopecia or baldness and alopecia areata.  Female androgenic alopecia has also been referred to as female pattern baldness.  It most often presents as diffuse thinning g without hairline recession, and like its male counterpart rarely leads to total hair loss.

According to hair treatment experts, there are two types of fighting hair loss –

Surgical and medical treatment

Natural home based remedies

Both ways are proven to offer effective remedies for hair loss, even if it is not a permanent cure.  In recent development of hair loss products.  According to hair treatment experts, the products doesnt guarantee a permanent solution to hair loss, however it is proven to reduce the signs of hair loss.

The most significant effect that alopecia areata has on some patients may be psychological, or emotional.  For many of us, hair is a very important part o how we see ourselves, and the loss of it can have quite an impact.  Fortunately, this disease tends to leave those who have it healthy otherwise, and above to live a normal life.

Saw Palmetto Hair Loss Review – Does Saw Palmetto Work For Hair Loss

Youve read Saw Palmetto can help Hair Loss... But is it Fact or Fiction? I found out...

Saw palmetto hair loss practices began many years ago in native America. But does saw palmetto work for hair loss today?

Well today it has become an established treatment for people that are suffering from problems with their prostate.

In fact in many parts of the world it is looked on as a reliable herbal remedy.

What about a cure for hair loss?

Well there have been no properly carried out clinical tests to prove that saw palmetto can indeed stop hair loss, or indeed help with regrowing your hair.

To date there have only ever been very small laboratory tests that suggest saw palmetto may be helpful with blocking DHT, the main cause of male and female pattern baldness.Only one such test has actually been documented.

It included a very small group men,10 in total, with either mild or moderate hair loss. The test showed positive results.

Saw palmetto was included amongst the botanical substances used to stop the enzyme alpaha 5-reductase from converting testosterone into dihidrotestosterone (DHT)

The result was that 6 out of the men that took the test...

were rated as improved at the final visit.”

Saw Palmetto Side Effects – Hair Loss Side Effects With Saw Palmetto Capsules

The downside is there are saw palmetto side effects.

Hair loss side effects from using saw palmetto include stomach pains, along with diarrhoea and constipation.

Not very nice. But it gets worse.

You might also experience feeling sick and vomiting.

Having a foul breath has also been reported as a side effect of taking saw palmetto.

And if that frightens you, theres more.

Although these reports are a lot less common, you should also know about the problems with having an inflamed liver. Also trouble with the pancreas, turning jaundice, feeling dizzy, having headaches. Depression is included as well.

Insomnia has been reported with saw palmetto, and so has not being able to breathe properly.

Its also been associated with having sore muscles, causing you to develop high blood pressure, and getting chest pains.

There has even been heart abnormalities, problems with blood clots and things. Of course these reports may have come from patients that are on other medications as well.

Remember Saw palmetto isnt just taken for hair loss, its commonly used to treat prostate problems. So you dont know what else has been wrong with those patients that also happen to be taking saw palmetto.

It may not actually be the saw palmetto thats directly causing the problem.

Saw palmetto though has actually been associated directly with severe bleeding. So if youre taking anything that thins the blood, like a common aspirin for example you might want to be careful.

At this time of writing there remain two medications approved by the FDA and reliable for stabilising continued hair loss, and those are Propecia (Finasteride), and Minoxidil (the stuff thats in Regaine)
